What
does Neuro Linguistic Programming mean?
‘Neuro’ refers to the neurological processes of
seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling and tasting which are the ways
people experience things. ‘Linguistic’ denotes the
way in which we use language to represent our individual
experiences and to communicate with others.
‘Programming’ in this case means the strategies we
use to organise these inner processes to produce
results.
How does
it work?
In essence the world we perceive is not necessarily the real
world. We each create a unique model of the world in our heads at
an unconscious level, then live in that model as if it were real.
The majority of problems people have develop from how we perceive
the world rather from how the world actually is.
As you begin to understand how these models in your mind work,
you can learn to change unhelpful habits, thoughts, feelings and
beliefs for more useful ones and achieve magical
results.
